Virtual production is a method of filmmaking in which the virtual and physical worlds are combined to create a scene, simply put.
Physical actors, props and set lights are mixed with virtual reality, game engines, virtual backgrounds, animated characters, virtual lights or motion tracking to create a fantasy world that appears hyper-realistic. Seamlessly blending physical and digital elements, virtual production empowers filmmakers to imagine, plan and execute complex images in previously unimaginable ways

Traditional productions often require extensive location scouting, permits, and travel expenses for cast and crew which can be expensive. With virtual production, travel expenses and location costs can almost be eliminated as any location in the world can be created and manipulated virtually
